This place has excellent food that really tastes home cooked. It’s so comforting to have good rice and rotisserie chicken, and for only $12. And they have a lot of great Mediterranean baked goods like Turkish delight and baklava. But it’s the friendly people that really stand out. While I was there even for just an hour, I saw them give cookies to a homeless man who was hungry, and a free drink to their mail carrier. It makes me happy to be a customer here.

I tried the kebabs, and I am changing my review. First, I asked if they have a spit for their shawarma/gyro. They do not. I asked how they cook it, and the guy pointed me to the grill. I decided to be safe and ordered beef kebab. It was well-done pieces of meet of dubious quality heavily seasoned with cumin (I think) and grilled. Nothing Greek about its marinate or the way it was cooked. Previous Review: The deserts were good. I should try their kebabs

Ordered the lamb burger with fries. Not bad. Service was pretty quick at lunch time. There was a timer (or alarm?) going off in the kitchen which was really irritating so I just ate outside. They have a wide assortment of chips and candy for sale as well.

Love this place!! The owner is really nice and the food here is absolutely delicious. Definitely a bang for your buck too for the quality and quantity you get! Out of all the plates I've had here, I'd recommend the lamb shawarma plate.

Excellent! Go here! I stopped here for the great prices, but I returned for the flavor and the warm atmosphere. At the Opa Cafe you'll get a large portion of food with complex, balanced flavors, all made from fresh ingredients. Love it!

Lived in the neighborhood for a year and a half now, and am only just now discovering this place. The chicken/salad/rice plate is delicious, and an exceptional value - this is easily two meals, for $14. 👍 I'll definitely be coming back, often! …

Don’t know how this place got such high ratings! We got a kebab supreme plate. The rice was soggy and bland, and the few pieces of meat were over cooked, dry and flavorless without any spices. Fries were greasy and not fresh, and they gave us regular fries instead of the garlic fries that we ordered. We had called ahead with the order but it still took a long time to finally get the food. Next time will try the house of hummus close by instead!

A cheap and filling breakfast. We had the California breakfast sandwhich and the regular breakfast burrito with sausage, and I thought the sando was much more flavorful and interesting. The breakfast burrito was bland, in my opinion, and needs for spices or veggies. The vibe inside is not great for eating in — we were the only ones eating there, and they don’t answer their phone so it rings loudly. Counter service and very casual. Inexpensive with a lot of food. We ate for less than $15/person. Overall, not a delightful brunch experience but decent food.
